Lost
Hit television show Lost is set for an additional fourteenth hour at the end of its current (fourth) season according to TV Guide.
This brings the total number just two short of the 16 originally intended for the season before the writers strike interrupted those plans.
The show goes back on air for four weeks starting April 24th with its ninth episode. The three-part finale begins with episode twelve on May 15th, followed by the expanded two-hour season closer on May 29th. No episode will air on May 22nd, when the prolonged Grey’s Anatomy season finale takes up Lost’s timeslot.

SciFi Wire reports that the current season’s final batch of new episodes will unspool a story arc based on a plan devised in anticipation of the writers’ strike.
“The last two weeks before the strike, we actually sat down and said, ‘Here is what we want to tell for the rest of the season,’” Kitsis said in an interview. “We all sat down, and the entire staff came up with a battle plan in place.”
When Lost returns in late April, it will wrap up the fourth season with five episodes, three fewer than planned before the strike took place. “We got to tell a little more story this season than we anticipated,” Kitsis said.

In an arrangement with ABC Marketing, Marvel Comics have strategically placed images and references from the hit TV series Lost in a number of their comic books including Uncanny X-Men, Incredible Hercules, Thunderbolts and Wolverine Origins.
The kind of things you can expect to see are are posters, the number 6 and the slogan ‘Find Yourself’.

The Lost Spoiler’s Blog has posted excerpts of an interview with Michael Emerson, who plays Benjamin Linus on Lost.
In the season 3 finale, Benjamin Linus was left strapped to a tree, warning that the people on the freighter would kill every living person on the island.
Emerson said via a phone interview with one of the Blog’s editors, Larry Higg’s, “I’d say season four will be far rougher than anything he (Ben) has seen. The violence doesn’t stop, it ramps up. Ben is in dire straights. His army has disappeared, he doesn’t have the loyalty of Juliet. It will be Ben living by his wits.”
The blog also reports that Ben will make a pact with a splinter group of the Flight 815 survivors.

With the Writer’s strike still underway, ABC’s LOST will be one of the few shows on television running original episodes during the months of February and March.
Eight of the sixteen episodes were written and shot before the Writers Guild of America went on strike in November.
It has been revealed that Season 4 starts off with a Hurley-centric premiere titled, The Beginning of the End.
Additionally, LOST show runners have said that Benjamin Linus’ (played by Michael Emerson) warning to Jack Sheppard (Matthew Fox) regarding the off-island freighter, and a possible rescue attempt, is indeed “The Beginning of the End.” What exactly does that mean? We’re not entirely sure. However, we can tell you that Season 4 will continue with several more flash-forwards, revealing what is in store for the Losties.
The X-Realms.net will stay on top of the spoiler scene to bring you any new details that may surface.
Lost Season 4, will begin airing on January 31, 2008.

In spite of the writers strike that started on Monday, many prime time shows still have a number of episodes in the production pipeline before running out of material.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Lost fans will get to see at least eight new episodes, even if the strike continues for a long while. ABC will start airing them after the first of the year.
But the hit show’s executive producer Carlton Cuse says that if writers can’t get back to working on the rest of the new episodes, fans will once again be stuck with another frustrating mid-season break.

Looks like a different Bell will be joining the cast of Lost. After “Veronica Mars” star Kristin Bell turned down a role on the ABC drama, opting instead to be a crazy lightning-wielding chick on Heroes, Zoe Bell will be heading to the island instead. It is not clear whether or not this is the same role that would have gone to that other Bell (signs are pointing to no) or what the character’s name is. According to Zoe Bell, it’s “a little acting role” that will involve some stunts (Zoe Bell is a stunt actress, having doubled for both Grindhouse movies, Kill Bill and Abram’s Alias.) Bell starts filming for Lost next week.
