Crispin Glover has given SCI FI Wire a progress update on the feature-length movie adaptation of Shane Acker’s Oscar-nominated animated short 9, in which the quirky actor voices a creature who steals souls in a post-apocalyptic world.
‘I have finished with all of my work on it, but I don’t know what exactly his happening with that,’ explained Glover. ‘The work I did on that was very different from Beowulf, because in that one I did go on and do my voice and didn’t have a chance to interact with other actors.‘
9 has been written by Pamela Pettler and features the voices of Jennifer Connelly, John C. Reilly, Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau and Elijah Wood. The plot revolves around a rag doll character that fights a monster that has stolen the rest of his people’s souls. The characters and sets are mostly comprised of every-day objects.
