Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein and Rick Yune have joined Kristin Kreuk on board Fox’s Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li, Variety reports.
Kreuk was previously confirmed to be headlining the film in the role of Chun-Li. Duncan will play Balrog, Klein is stepping into the role of Nash, and Yune is taking on the mystical Gen. Rounding out the cast are Moon Bloodgood, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, Singapore’s Edmund Chen and Hong Kong film star Cheng Pei Pei, while producers are still casting the movie’s villain, Bison.
Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds director Andrzej Bartkowiak starts shooting the adaptation of the popular Capcom video game in March. Filming will take place in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver.

The role of Wolverine’s love interest Silver Fox in Gavin Hood’s upcoming spin-off X-Men Origins: Wolverine has gone to Texan actress Lynn Collins, IESB.net reports. Maggie Q and Michelle Monaghan were previously attached to play the role.
In addition, Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch has been cast as Gambit (aka Remy LeBeau) according to Superhero Hype.
Meanwhile, Aint-it-cool-news claims Ryan Reynolds will feature in a cameo appearance as Deadpool, and Film School Rejects has heard from someone working on the set who saw test footage being shot of an actor in a huge rubber suit playing The Blob.

The trailer for 20th Century Fox’s environmental thriller The Happening that was premiered by Empire Online a fortnight ago is now officially available in high-definition Quicktime on Apple.com.
The Happening stars Mark Wahlberg as a man who takes his family on the run when a natural disaster threatens to end the world. Zooey Deschanel co-stars as his wife, and John Leguizamo as his best friend.
The film is directed by M Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Lady in the Water) and is scheduled for worldwide release on Friday, June 13, 2008.

Netflix and Wal-Mart announced their exclusive backing of Blu-Ray last week, and now the high definition format war has officially come to an end with HD DVD pioneer Toshiba conceding defeat.
Toshiba issued a press release today which confirms that the corporation has undertaken a thorough review of its overall strategy for HD DVD and has decided it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders.
‘We carefully assessed the long-term impact of continuing the so-called ‘next-generation format war’ and concluded that a swift decision will best help the market develop,’ said Atsutoshi Nishida, President and CEO of Toshiba Corporation.
