doctorwhosmall1.jpgThe SCI FI Channel has snapped up the fourth season of Doctor Who and spinoff kid’s series The Sarah Jane Adventures from BBC Worldwide America with both series set to premiere in April.

The child-friendly Sarah Jane Adventures is written and produced by the same creative team behind Doctor Who, including multiple-award-winning writer Russell T. Davies. The series centers on Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), former companion to the Doctor, who investigates offbeat mysteries with her young friends Maria, Luke and Clyde.

The fourth season of Doctor Who, meanwhile, brings back star David Tennant as the 10th Timelord, joined by a new companion, Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), who reprises her role from the previous Christmas special. The Doctor’s previous companion, Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), also makes a return in the middle of season four.

wolfmansmall11.jpgUniversal have recruited Joe Johnston to replace Mark Romanek as helmer of The Wolfman, keeping the $100 million thriller on course to begin production in London in March writes Variety.

Romanek stepped out last week over creative differences. Benicio Del Toro has long been attached to play the title character, but Romanek’s exit comes after the studio firmed up Anthony Hopkins to play the title character’s father, and for Emily Blunt (Charlie Wilson’s War) to play the female lead.

The Wolfman, one of the treasured horror properties in the studio vaults, will cost $85 million, counting about $15 million in tax breaks for shooting in the United Kingdom. Andrew Kevin Walker wrote the script. Pic’s produced by Scott Stuber, Mary Parent, Sean Daniel, Rick Yorn and Andy Davis. Johnston last directed Hidalgo and Jurassic Park III.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
