caspianpostersmall.jpgI don’t know quite how we missed it, but the The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian one sheet poster was released earlier this week.

Click here to take a look in our movie galleries.

The film, released May 16, reunites most of the principal cast from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and finds the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since they left.

The 30 Days of Night star will play an unnamed,  revenge-seeking drifter in a ’spaghetti-Western-samurai-gangster mashup’ inspired by Japanese puppet theater,  video games and German expressionism.

Sophie Ward and Jonas Armstrong will topline the pic about a paranormal expert who, while investigating a gruesome slaying, finds a house that is at the intersection of highways transporting souls to the afterlife.

Summer GlauIESB.net reports that at a press conference for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles this morning, Summer Glau let slip that she’s working with Serenity director Joss Whedon again.

When pressed for details she could only say that she had “always wanted to do a movie about dance which is something that I’m working on right now… Something that Joss Whedon is working on. We’ve kind of had this idea for awhile but we haven’t had much of an opportunity where both of us are available. But it’s something that we’re working on as much as we can.”

Wolf ManAccording to the Hollywood Reporter, X-Men 3 director Brett Ratner is among candidates for directing the new Wolf Man flick. Previous director Mark Romanek left the film in a dispute over the budget, among other creative issues. Other directors in talks are Frank Darabont, James Mangold and Joe Johnston. They have either met with the studio and producers or are expected to do so in the coming days.

Ratner has experience in taking over a production that has lost its director - X-Men 3 director Bryan Singer flew the coop for Superman Begins leaving Ratner to take the reins.

StrikeVariety reports today that there is an upcoming deadline this week in which progress needs to be made with studio CEOs. The strike, which has entered its 89th day has halted production on a number of upcoming films and television shows. Informal talks are in their second week.

WGA leaders have attempted to maintain a united front. Picketing continues at the major studios, and last week they asked members to sign a letter pledging “full support” to the leadership. “We place our full trust in you, the leadership, to disregard outside pressure and negotiate the best possible terms on behalf of every member of the WGA,” it said. “A swift resolution to our strike is what we all want but securing our future is what we all need.”

2008 U.S. Presidential election

quoteI prefer Obama to McCain. Now, McCain’s better than average for a Republican. And though his ads are intellectually offensive, he’s just bowing to his campaign masters and would calm down and be more sane once in office and not campaigning. But I have a few concerns with McCain on foreign policy. He’s not a full-fledged Neocon. That’s good. He opposed Reagan on Lebanon. Good. He was critical of Bush’s initial strategy in Iraq. That’s good. But there’s a problem. He thinks the Vietnam war was winnable and that the US shouldn’t have withdrawn. He’s also eager to spread democracy with force. This just isn’t a good set of beliefs for inheriting Iraq.quote
