A report on Twitchfilm indicates that one of the main reasons for the six-month delay of the Vin Diesel-fronted Babylon A.D. in the United States is the cutting room floor.
Apparently, when the film hits movie houses in Europe in early 2008 it will be a longer cut compared the the US release, for which Fox have requested a significantly shorter version.
The European cut of the Matthieu Kassovitz sci-fi flick is said to run at about 160 minutes, which Fox want to cut by at least half an hour for the August 29, 2008 release in the United States.
