Contrary to reports that emerged last week, Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell will not be joining the cast of Lost after all.
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello has said that Bell has turned down the role because she didn’t want to relocate to Hawaii where the hit ABC series is filmed.
The original Lost casting report said that two new recurring roles, possibly becoming regular, had being offered to both Bell and Prison Break star Peter Stormare. Bell was to play a character named Charlotte, a woman ‘in her late 20s, attractive in a naturalistic and athletic way, precocious, loquacious and funny.’
Lost will return to television in early 2008 on ABC.

Syfyportal reports that filming on season 4 of Doctor Who has been interrupted by a studio fire.
After production was temporarily relocated to the Cinecitta Studios in Rome to film an episode in which The Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna (Catherine Tate) come face to face with Caesar, disaster struck when BBC equipment was destroyed in a fire. Apparently damage at the studio was extensive (the same studio used to film the BBC drama Rome) but most of the crucial components were salvaged, which means that production on the episode can continue.
Doctor Who returns to BBC1 in the UK in early 2008, with its annual seasonal special airing first on Christmas Day.

‘I always think of what we’re making as Star Wars Tales,’ explains Filoni, referring to the comic book series from the 1990s. ‘Those are stories explaining moral principle aspects of how the Star Wars characters relate in the Star Wars universe. It’s filling in details that the fans kind of wondered about. But it’s also telling a story for the mom that doesn’t know anything about Star Wars — that’s really what old Star Wars did‘.
