Ian McShane (in ‘Deadwood’)Ian McShane (Deadwood) has joined the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson’s Death Race, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film sees a future America in which prison inmates are forced to brutally compete in an enclosed arena. Statham will play a prisoner who, with only weeks to go before his release, is coerced into being a driver and becomes the crowd favorite called Frankenstein. Tom CruiseIGN Movies via one of their most trusted sources claims that writer-director J.J. Abrams is looking for an A-list star cameo for his upcoming reboot of the Star Trek franchise.

Apparently, Abrams is wooing none other than his Mission Impossible III star Tom Cruise. The role would be that of Captain Pike. But Cruise has yet to agree to the offer.

Pike was James T. Kirk’s predecessor as captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise and Mr. Spock’s first commanding officer. Pike was the captain in the original and unaired TV pilot, The Cage, where he was portrayed by the late Jeffrey Hunter.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
