batmansuitsmall.jpgComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype! have been talking to Hans Zimmer about his new score for the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight.

Apparently Zimmer is crafting a new Batman theme for the second movie in the relaunched franchise. ‘It’s going to evolve,’ he said. ‘There is a big Batman theme which I was playing with for the last one, but I always felt the character hadn’t earned it yet, so I just want to go and play around, and I now want to go and complete that theme, so that’s part of the idea. I felt I had a good start, and now it would be really nice to develop that world a little further.’

The Dark Knight is released on July 18th 2008.

spidermansmall.jpgSpider-Man helmer Sam Raimi has told Empire that the studio is still searching for a writer to pen the fourth installment of the massive superhero franchise.

‘I want to help contribute to the production’ said Raimi. ‘I don’t know if I’ll just be a producer on it but if I can work with the writer in such a way so that directing would be right for me, I don’t know. We’ve had our first meeting on Spider-Man 4 and we’re looking for the writer.’

According to a report from a couple of weeks ago, the top brass at Sony Pictures could be sitting down sometime now to discuss more Spider-Man films.

consoleyourselfws2111.pngRemember how bad Star Wars games used to be?

Okay, you had the classic wireframe arcade game and Knights of the Old Republic had it’s fans but lets be honest with ourselves, Lucasarts churned out games as cheaply as possible because they new they’d sell like hot cakes anyway. Then what happened? Out of the ashes of the Prequel Trilogy and a ruined franchise something wonderful arose like blocky plastic phoenix, it was still Star Wars but it was something else too… It was Lego!

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
