Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (out July 11), revealed in an interview that “her” character will play an important role in the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Carter was deciding on whether or not to accept the relatively small role in Order of the Phoenix when ‘J.K. Rowling sent a message saying she’s going to be very significant in the last one.’
The final Potter novel hits bookshelves July 21.

New rumours about the characters of Aaron Eckhart and Anthony Michael Hall in The Dark Knight have popped up at Film Ick.
If they are to believed, Eckhart’s Harvey Dent will make his transition into Two-Face in this film - as opposed to in the hypothetical third movie, as was widely assumed so far. Meanwhile, Hall is seemingly playing Edward Nygma, who in the Batman mythology turns into the Riddler.

The first trailer for Paramount’s The Spiderwick Chronicles has gone online at Yahoo! Movies.
Mark Waters directs the adaptation of the first book in the series, which takes place in New England and revolves around the adventures of Nine-year-old twins Simon and Jared and their older sister Mallory who have moved to the decrepit Spiderwick Estate. There they discover a book called ‘Arthur Spiderwick’s field guide to Faeries’, and quickly realize that the entire estate is overrun with them.
The film stars Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, Mary-Louise Parker, David Strathairn and Nick Nolte.

The teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams’ mysterious monster movie 1-18-08 a.k.a. Cloverfield is now available online in high-definition at Apple.com.
The intriguing clip caused some stir after it premiered in cinemas last week playing in front of Transformers. It shows some sort of monster attack on New York during which the Statue of Liberty is destroyed and its head tumbles to the ground.
The film is scheduled for release January 18, 2008.
