MegatronShia LaBeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky in Michael Bay’s Transformers, appeared on David Letterman Friday night to speak about the movie, which premieres in cinemas next week.

During the course of the show, a new clip from the film was aired showing a full scene of Sam and Megatron on the roof of a building that takes place during the movie’s climax. The sequence included dialogue between the two characters and offered the first impression of Hugo Weaving voicing the Decepticon leader.

The clip is now available online on Youtube.

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ book cover (Children’s Edition)During a recent press conference for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, producer David Heyman addressed a rumour that JK Rowling had advised the film crew not to cut a certain character from the film adaptation.

MuggleNet quotes him as saying: ‘Jo reads each draft. She reads each screenplay, and she said, ‘You know, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Or you can, but if you get to make a seventh film, you’ll be tied in knots.”

Heyman was reluctant to divulge at the press conference which character it was that had been preserved at Rowling’s behest, but MTV News caught up with the producer shortly after and wrung the spoiler information out of him.

2008 U.S. Presidential election

quoteI prefer Obama to McCain. Now, McCain’s better than average for a Republican. And though his ads are intellectually offensive, he’s just bowing to his campaign masters and would calm down and be more sane once in office and not campaigning. But I have a few concerns with McCain on foreign policy. He’s not a full-fledged Neocon. That’s good. He opposed Reagan on Lebanon. Good. He was critical of Bush’s initial strategy in Iraq. That’s good. But there’s a problem. He thinks the Vietnam war was winnable and that the US shouldn’t have withdrawn. He’s also eager to spread democracy with force. This just isn’t a good set of beliefs for inheriting Iraq.quote
