Harrisonfordweb.com reports that Mexican Film commissioner Próspero Rebolledo has said in an interview in Coatzacoalcos that Indiana Jones 4 starts filming in Veracruz as of the second week of July.
The site says that they ‘have reason to believe that Mr Rebolledo refers to Veracruz the state and not just the state capital and port’. Veracruz is home to two major sites of historical importance, namely Cempoala, known as Place of the Twenty Waters, an ancient Totonac site situated just 8kms from Veracruz and El Tajín known as Place of Thunder which is located in the north of the state.
The source also suggests that there is a possibility that the abandoned airstrip in Deming, New Mexico could be passed off as one of three USAF air bases in Morocco that existed in the time frame occupied by Indy IV: Sidi Slimane, Noasseur and Ben Guerir. This is of course at odds with the notion that the Deming location is supposed to be a recreation of Nellis Air Force Base close to Area 51.

Samuel L Jackson has told SCI FI Wire that he’s almost finished work on the movie Jumper.
Wrapping up filming in Toronto, Jackson said ‘Jumper is going to be really cool, it’s a film about kids who can teleport. I play a government agent that’s sort of chasing them and killing them and kind of hates kids that can do that because they leave these interesting rips in the atmosphere when they do it.’
Jumper reunites Jackson with Star Wars co-star Hayden Christensen and is adapted from a novel by Steven Gould with Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer penning the script. Jumper is scheduled for a February 15th, 2008, release and is being directed by Mr. & Mrs. Smith helmer Doug Liman.
