Karen Allen as Marion RavenwoodCiting anyonymous sources, CHUD has posted a barrage of potential plot and character spoilers from the upcoming Indiana Jones IV, which is unofficially titled Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods.

If the report is to believed, the film will start with a fight between Indy and the Russians in Area 51. This would conform with events scripted by Frank Darabont in a discarded draft, of which elements may have made it into the final screenplay by David Koepp. Darabont’s version had included crystal skulls, aliens and partly took place in South American temples.

Soundwave in the original cartoonJosh Duhamel dropped hints that iPod’s in the upcoming Transformers film might be more than meets the eye.

The actor told MTV News: ‘The Transformer that will steal all the scenes I would say is this little iPod thing, [it’s] crazy. It’s like this crazy little 12-inch iPod that turns into this little killing machine.’

MTV speculates that this particular robot, which did not feature in early script drafts, may in fact be Soundwave, the popular Decepticon who could transform into a tape deck in the original cartoons but was never confirmed to feature in the movie.

Gerard Butler as King Leonidas in ‘300′300 star Gerard Butler spoke to MTV News about his character in Brian De Palma’s Untouchables prequel Capone Rising and cast doubt over a possible involvement in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen.

Butler revealed that he will play police officer Jim Malone in Capone Rising, a role that won Sean Connery an Oscar in the 1987 film classic: ‘[I play] the young Sean Connery, when he was still a detective. It’s great, the script is phenomenal [...] Being Scottish and being tall, I’m gonna come across a little bit like Sean Connery…and people will make those comparisons. But I’m going to do my own thing.’

Butler also conceded that he might be too busy now for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Watchmen adaptation: ‘Don’t count on it. We’ve been talking about [’Watchmen’] for a while, but [Zack’s] never told me a character and to be honest, now I’m looking a little bit picked up. I don’t know if ‘Watchmen’ is going to be happening.’

Christopher Lee as Count Dooku in ‘Star Wars: Episode 2′According to Playbill, Christopher Lee has been cut from Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd film adaptation, which stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

DreamWorks confirmed that Lee’s Gentleman Ghost and all other ghost characters are no longer part of the film. The Gentleman Ghost had previously been sort of an enigma anyway, since it did not appear in the original stage musical. The actor said ‘It would have been worse if I had done the scenes, but I never got to film them. It’s a shame as the lyrics were wonderful, but these things happen.’

The film opens in cinemas January 11, 2008, following a limited release on December 21.

2008 U.S. Presidential election

quoteI prefer Obama to McCain. Now, McCain’s better than average for a Republican. And though his ads are intellectually offensive, he’s just bowing to his campaign masters and would calm down and be more sane once in office and not campaigning. But I have a few concerns with McCain on foreign policy. He’s not a full-fledged Neocon. That’s good. He opposed Reagan on Lebanon. Good. He was critical of Bush’s initial strategy in Iraq. That’s good. But there’s a problem. He thinks the Vietnam war was winnable and that the US shouldn’t have withdrawn. He’s also eager to spread democracy with force. This just isn’t a good set of beliefs for inheriting Iraq.quote
