The Latino Review have posted a rumour that Jessica Biel is set to star in a new movie adaptatation of the Street Fighter video game franchise from Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom Ltd.
Apparently Biel is in the frame after Keira Knightley & Jessica Alba passed on the role in a movie that will focus on the game’s most popular female fighter, Chun-Li. Although the storyline is under wraps, the film is targeted to be released in 2008, the 20th anniversary of the game franchise.
Biel is an American actress and former fashion model who is probably best known for her role as Mary Camden in the long-running family-drama series 7th Heaven.

Rotten Tomatoes reports that despite its poor performance at the box office, Hostel director Eli Roth is nagging Edgar Wright and various studios to let him film a Grindhouse sequel based on the faux trailers for Thanksgiving and Don’t.
‘We have the outline,’ said Roth, ‘the story ideas but part of the fun of Grindhouse is actually not having a script. I wouldn’t want to write it too detailed. You’ve just got to work out the kills and then see who’s around and grab a camera and have fun. The catch is that me and all my friends who are in our 30s, we all have to play high school students, because that’s how they did it in ’80s horror movies.’
Roth added that he felt that the three and a half hour running time contributed to the commercial failure of the recently released movie.
