George Lucas told Reuters that he would be ready to start working as a producer on Indiana Jones IV in a month’s time. The Star Wars creator also revealed that the film’s script does indeed feature Indy’s father, who was played by Sean Connery in 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Lucas apparently said that the veteran actor had yet to agree to reprise his role. ‘We have a script with him in it. If he doesn’t do it, we’ll do a quick rewrite.’
The fourth installment is scheduled for a May 22, 2008 release.
