According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Malkovich has been cast in the Coen brothers’ upcoming new film Burn After Reading, joining George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand.
The dark screwball comedy centers on Ozzie Cox (Malkovich), a former CIA agent who loses the disc of the memoir he is writing. McDormand will play Cox’s philandering wife. Clooney is set to play an assassin. Details on Pitt’s role are yet to be disclosed.
Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the screenplay together, and the former will direct the film, which starts shooting in August.
