Framestore, the London-based FX house, has published an update on their website regarding their involvement on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian reports IGN.
Framestore’s blurb says ‘The next Narnia film is now well under way and Framestore CFC has got a lion’s share (pardon the pun) of the VFX work. As well as the CG creatures, Aslan and a badger called Trufflehunter, the 500 or so shots our team expects to complete will also involve a spectacular River God sequence.‘
Producer Douglas Gresham has already mentioned additional content beyond the book being incorporated into the film after saying that ‘A lot of [Prince Caspian] is walking and talking, which is fine on the pages of a book, but doesn’t really come across very well in the cinema. So there are things we’ve had to do to make things a little more lively.‘

A report from Collider suggests that sci-fi action thriller The Invasion starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig could be in trouble. For those who are unfamiliar with the project, this is the remake of the classic Invasion of the Bodysnatchers from which a news story broke earlier this year about Kidman being involved in an on-location car accident.
According to the site, Warner Bros were unhappy with an early rough cut of The Invasion and realized it needed a little work. The director, Oliver Hirschbiegel was ‘unavailable’ to work on the planned reshoots, so Warner Bros and Joel Silver brought in The Wachowski Brothers to shoot a new ending. This resulted in them rewriting over two thirds of the film, and brining in James Mcteigue (V For Vendetta), to direct the material while they were busy working on Speed Racer.
Collider suggests that Warner Bros thought that the original cut was ‘a little artsy, talky, and not exactly a summer tentpole‘.

Visual FX outfit Rhythm & Hues Studios will be handling the computer generated imagery for Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk says The Hollywood Reporter.
Rhythm & Hues was selected after months of R&D that included the creation of a new fully CG Hulk. Industrial Light and Magic created the character for Ang Lee’s 2003 take on the comic book.
The company is well known for its work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, in particular its creation of the CG lion Aslan. Rhythm & Hues also created the remarkable 3D model of Marlon Brando’s head from archive footage for Superman Returns.
