IESB.net has been talking to David Duchovny about two potential X-Files movie sequels.
In 2005, the New York-born thesp told IGN that he expected to shoot X-Files 2 before early 2006 and that it would not involve the television show’s alien conspiracy storyline but would have a standalone supernatural plot. After the film failed to materialize fans were left disappointed, but now it seems that the movie could be back on track with shooting scheduled to begin either this year or in 2008.
The actor confirmed that only the core characters will return and if the film is a success, a third outing will be on the cards.
