The final trailer for Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 3 has now been released.
The third installment in the blockbusting franchise is about a strange black entity from another world that bonds with Peter Parker and causes inner turmoil as he contends with new villains, temptations, and revenge. With series stalwart Sam Raimi at the reins, the picture stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell and Rosemary Harris.

Walt Disney Pictures has launched the official website for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, the third outing for the blockbusting maritime franchise starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.
In addition to the usual image galleries, trailer, screensavers etc. visitors are invited to explore the Harbour and streets of Singapore, home of Pirate Lord Sao Feng and travel to meet Captain Jack Sparrow in Davey Jones Locker. Additional website locations (Tortuga Port and Shipwreck Cove) will be unlocked on the site in a fortnight. Click here to visit the site.

Memento scribe Jonah Nolan has been recruited by Paramount Pictures to write Interstellar, according to Variety.
The space adventure, with Steven Spielberg attached to direct, revolves around explorers who travel through a worm hole into another dimension. The plot is built around a theory by American physicist Kip S. Thorne which sparked Spielberg’s interest during a visit to to a Caltech workshop.
In addition to penning Memento for his brother Chris, London born Nolan has also scripted The Prestige and The Dark Knight.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kurt Russell has been scathing about the proposed Escape from New York remake/prequel and the casting of Scottish actor Gerard Butler.
“When I was told who was going to play Snake Plissken, my initial reaction was ”Oh, man!” [Russell winces]. I do think that character was quintessentially one thing. And that is, American…He’s a fascinating character. In fact, he’s the most complex character I’ve ever played” said Russell.
When asked if he would consider a cameo, Russell said “Fuck that! I am Snake Plissken! It’s like Sean Connery always watching someone else do their version of Bond.“.

Sci-Fi Wire reports that Miguel Ferrer and Chris Bowers have been recruited for NBC’s drama pilot The Bionic Woman, a reimagination of the 1970s television series starring Lindsay Wagner.
The new show, from Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick centers on Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan), a bright woman who is transformed into a technological wonder with $50 million worth of bionic components implanted in her body. Ferrer will play the ruthless leader of the secret government agency that turned Sommers into a bionic woman. Bowers will play Sommers’ supportive boyfriend.

Neal McDonough (Flags of Our Fathers), Kathleen Robertson (Hollywoodland) and Raoul Trujillo (Apocalypto) have joined the cast of SCI FI Channel’s upcoming reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The trio join the cast of Tin Man led by Zooey Deschanel, Alan Cumming and Richard Dreyfuss.
A sometimes psychedelic, often twisted and always outrageous take on the book, Tin Man is the epic tale of DG (Deschanel), a young woman plucked from her humdrum life and thrust into the Outer Zone (the O.Z.), a fantastical realm filled with wonder but oppressed by dark magic. DG seeks her true identity, battles evil winged monkey-bats and attempts to fulfill her destiny.
