With Zack Snyder’s 300 proving to be such a hit at the box office, chances are good that he’ll have the necessary finances for his next project, Watchmen, gathered rather sooner than later. He talked about his plans for the comic book adaptation to Comic Book Resources:
‘I’m doing Watchmen next for sure. That’s what we’re focusing all our attention on…It’s the best thing out there. Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I feel like Watchmen is the coolest thing ever and I have to do it.’ Snyder also mentioned that he thinks there’s a way to do it under $150 million.

Reports published by filmick from various UK radio and tabloid sources claim that Sony and Marvel are in a tug of war with New Line over Jake Gyllenhaal.
With Toby McGguire retiring from the role of Spider-Man, Gyllenhaal remains the studio’s top choice to replace him. However, it appears that New Line are also courting the young star for their DC comics adaptation Shazam! based on the character created in 1939 by artist C.C. Beck and writer Bill Parker.
Whichever career path that the LA born Brokeback Mountain star chooses to pursue, one imagines that the paycheck is going to be astronomical.
