Mark Wahlberg in In an interview with Empire Online, Mark Wahlberg addressed rumours of a possible sequel to Martin Scorsese’s gangster hit film The Departed: “They told me they wanted to try to do it and I said, ‘Well, I enjoyed playing the character’.”

According to Wahlberg, not only is the studio lining up a role for actor Robert De Niro, they’re also considering making a third film aswell: “They’re talking about bringing in De Niro to play a senator or a congressman. You know, the corruption obviously going deeper and higher up the ranks — reaching up the political chain. So it’ll be fun. And if it’s a success, they’re gonna do a prequel and bring everyone back… make it a trilogy.”

Jamie FoxxRecent rumours about a possible involvement of Jamie Foxx (Ray, Miami Vice) in the Batman sequel The Dark Knight can now be put to rest after the Oscar-winning actor’s reps have denied the casting talk to IGN Movies.

Foxx was one of the names linked to the role of Harvey Dent aka Two-Face, alongside Edwart Norton and Aaron Eckhart. Eckhart currently seems to be the frontrunner for landing the role, but his current reps CAA have so far declined to comment on the matter, according to Dark Horizons. The Dark Knight is scheduled for release in 2008.

shankmansmall.jpgEither I’m experiencing an episode of Déjà Vu or I’ve read about this somewhere before-

The Pacifier helmer Adam Shankman has signed on to direct the Walt Disney Pictures fantasy film Bedtime Story reports Reuters.  Matt Lopez has written the script and production will commence in August. The story is about an architect whose life is turned upside down when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to come true.

Sounds very much like Inkheart to me.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
