Doug Jones recently wrapped his scenes as the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and is now preparing to reprise his role as Abe Sapien in Hellboy: The Golden Army. iFMagazine caught up with the actor and asked him the question on everyone’s lips: will planet-consumer Galactus make an appearance alongside the Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four sequel?
Jones answered: “What about Galactus? Again, no one has briefed me on what I can and can’t say, but I’m going to play it safe and say that it would be difficult to introduce the Silver Surfer without Galactus having some kind of presence in the film.”

Peter Cullen and Frank Welker made a name for themselves in the mid-eighties, voicing Optimus Prime and Megatron in the original Transformers cartoon series. While film director Michael Bay had never planned on asking them to voice their old characters in his live-action film adaptation, the fan demand especially for Cullen but also for Welker has been so big that it couldn’t be disregarded. Cullen was officially brought on board a few months ago, but there have only been rumours surrounding a possible involvement of Welker.
Now IESB.net has posted a story in which their source indicates that Welker is only “days away from signing on for Megatron”. Curiously enough, the site updated their post soon after with word from a second studio source who claims that “as of two weeks ago, Hugo Weaving was also a leading contender for the role of Megatron”. Weaving is best known for his roles as Mr. Smith in The Matrix trilogy and Elrond in the Lord of the Rings films.
