Pan's LabyrinthThe National Society of Film Critics honored Guillermo Del Toro’s “Pan’s Labyrinth” as the year’s best picture.

Paul Greengrass received best director honors for his 9/11 reenactment “United 93” and Peter Morgan won best screenplay for “The Queen.”

Helen Mirren was also honored for “The Queen,” as best actress, and Forest Whitaker continued his roll through the award season as best actor in “Last King of Scotland.”

“Children of Men” won for best cinematography and Mark Wahlberg and Meryl Streep took home best supporting for their roles in “The Departed” and “The Devil Wears Prada” respectively.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
