MadmanAccording to Variety, Dimension Films has made a deal with Sin City director Robert Rodriguez to adapt Michael Allred’s Madman comic into a live-action film. Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan will produce via their Troublemaker Studios, while George Huang (Swimming With Sharks) will direct a script he’ll write with Allred. The aim is to follow a similar template on the film that was used for Sin City.

Madman is a post-modernist reimagining of the Frankenstein tale, with a superhero twist. The title character, killed in a car accident, is reanimated by an eccentric doc who names him Frank Einstein and instills in him enhanced senses, psychic power and exceptional physical skills. The doc can’t fix his creature’s face, so Madman wears a costume modeled after his fave superhero to hide his scars.

Ocean's ThirteenThe Ocean’s Thirteen teaser poster has exclusively gone online on Moviefone. It features the text “What are the odds of getting even? 13 to one.” (with a big ‘13′ dead center) hovering over a poker table, around which George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and the rest of the original Ocean’s 11, plus their nemesis Andy Garcia, are situated. That’s right, only twelve people. Who’s missing? Al Pacino.

Learn more on Ocean’s Thirteen and see the poster on Moviefone. You can also view it here in our gallery.

malkovichsmall.jpgFollowing yesterday’s bunch of concept art images, IGN have been talking exclusively to John Malkovich about his involvement in the Robert Zemeckis adaptation of Beowulf. The actor has been cast as Unferth, the thane of the Danish lord Hroðgar in the 3D animated version of the epic poem.

When asked if he was simply providing a voice for the film he said, “No, it’s not that. You do everything but then it’s given a form of computer animation afterwards. But, no, we were all on set. We were all acting. It’s not film. There’s no film, there’s no lights. There are video references that the specialists and technicians utilize, but it’s actually all recorded on computer and all the data is fed to the technicians and then they will animate it.”

Hulk Is Hero. It has been a long and hard two years for director Louis Letterier. To bring The Incredible Hulk to the screen was not only only a huge task in terms of scale but also in terms of a media and fanbase who were protective over a character they felt had been misconstrued […]

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
