This week’s issue of Premiere magazine has a multipaged feature on Spiderman 3 including some great insight into the themes of the film (spoilers abound!) and a bunch of gorgeous new imagery from the film. Scans can be found on the SuperHeroHype Boards (look for working links towards the end of the thread).
In the article. director Sam Raimi also briefly addresses the point of whether or not more Spiderman films are in store beyond this third instalment: “I’m sure they’ll keep making Spider-Man pictures. Amy [Pascal, Sony cochairman] told me that she would. I love ‘Spider-Man.’ And I love working with Kirsten, Tobey, James. I don’t know if Thomas and Topher will be around in the next one, but probably Bryce will be. But I have to make sure that when I’m done with this picture I’m really still fascinated with the charater. At the this moment I’m fascinated with him. Whether or not I will be in six month when the movie’s done I couldn’t say. And I absolutely would not have anything to do with the picture unless I was hungry to tell the story.”

The first proper teaser trailer for next summer’s Transformers movie will be released in theaters next Friday (December 22 - but it’s scheduled to go online on Wednesday already), and director Michael Bay has relayed his expressions in a post on his official message board:
“I think some of my films have had good teasers but this one is just makes a statement. It’s hard edged to show we are not a silly “toy” movie. We show just hints of robots - and almost none of our epic shots are in this teaser, but the movie just looks big. I had a room full of 20 Tranformers adult geeks, and they all applauded at the end.”

Variety reports this morning that Warner Bros. are developing a new take on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ original Tarzan prose. The studio is in talks with Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth) to direct the film, and screenwriter John Collee (Master & Commander, Happy Feet) to provide a script.
Del Toro believes that the classic themes in Tarzan are still compelling, but that there’s new ground to cover in the mythology: “I’d love to create a new version that is still a family movie, but as edgy as I can make it. There are strong themes of survival of a defenseless child left behind in the most hostile environment.”

First, let me say the following: The Fountain is not a film; it is an experience. A thought, feeling, or idea. It is a very personal and emotional trip. Each person will have different feelings and ideas towards the film.
