The Latino Review reports that Wedding Crashers star Rachel McAdams is in the running (and preferred choice) to play Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man. The Canadian actress was last seen in The Family Stone and has two projects in various stages of production: The Time Traveler’s Wife and Marriage.
In the original Marvel comic books, Potts was executive secretary to Tony Stark who became infatuated with her employer but later married his chauffeur. Recent casting rumours for this character suggested that both Britney Spears and Kelly Brook might be considered for the role, but this news is likely to be better received by fans.

Dark Horizons reports that in a recent interview with Starpulse News, Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire cast doubts about the possibility of him returning for a fourth screen outing for the web-crawling here. “This might be a good place to stop”, the actor said, “I am not tied contractually to any more Spider-Man movies. I am not completely closed to the idea of another one if it made sense but I would say the odds were in favor of this being the last one”.
Both the California born-thesp and his co-star Kirsten Dunst have both been non-committal about reprising their roles in the blockbusting franchise, but fans remain hopeful. The cynical among us might suggest that they are just holding out for fatter paychecks.

A very entertaining new trailer for highly anticipated Brit cop movie Hot Fuzz has arrived. Showcasing some great British acting and comic talent, it certainly looks like this one could live up to the hype.
Hot Fuzz is British cop thriller written by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright of Shaun of the Dead and Spaced fame starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The plot, paying homage to the cop movie genre, revolves around London policeman Nicholas Angel (Pegg), who is so good at his job he’s making his colleagues look bad. He’s transferred to the village of Sandford in Somerset, where he’s partnered with the oafish but well-meaning Constable Danny Butterman (Frost), who dreams of being Mel Gibson. Grisly events begin to take place in the rural village, and it’s up to Angel and Butterman to sort it out. Hot Fuzz is scheduled for release February 16th 2007.
