Eva LongoriaI so couldn’t come up with a better headline for this, as my brain just passed out. So let me merely relay what Dark Horizons is reporting today: Pop starlet Beyoncé Knowles (who’ll be in cinemas with Dreamgirls this Christmas) and Desperate Housewives hottie Eva Longoria will play lesbian lovers in an upcoming new version of the Victorian drama Tipping The Velvet.

The film will be directed by Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette), who is aiming to bring Sarah Water’s novel about sexual repression to the big screen and is anxious for Beyonce and Eva to take the roles of 1890s music hall star Kitty Butler, and her lesbian lover Nan Astley.

And according to All Headline News, Beyoncé and Longoria “weren’t at all coy about the sex scenes. In fact they both seemed to think it would be more fun than doing the same work with a man. It’s going to be very hot.” Yes.

Mads Mikkelsen as Le ChiffreJames Bond’s latest adventure comes to cinemas this Friday (November 17), and we’ve got interviews with the main cast and crew of Casino Royale. Following Chris Corbould (Special Effects Supervisor), Eva Green (Vesper Lynd), Dame Judi Dench (M) and Gary Powell (Stunt Coordinator) is Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen today, who plays Bond’s villain in the film, Le Chiffre. Le Chiffre is addicted to the adrenalin rush of big money gambling. One of the key scenes in the film is when Le Chiffre joins a group of high rollers – including James Bond (Daniel Craig) in a game of five card draw where the stakes are indeed enormous with a $10 million outlay for each player to enter the game.

After more than a decade as a professional dancer, Mads crossed over into acting in the early 1990s and has since established himself as one of Denmark’s, and Europe’s, leading stars. His numerous credits include Pusher, Flickering Lights, Shake It All About and Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself.

empiresmall.jpgEmpire, the upcoming book and video game from Chair Entertainment Group and best-selling sci-fi author Orson Scott Card has been optioned by Joel Silver’s Silver Pictures.

Warner Bros are looking to back the movie adaptation of a story that paints as a disturbing look at a possible future. The American Empire has grown too fast, and the fault lines at home are stressed to the breaking point. The war of words between Right and Left has collapsed into a shooting war, though most people just want to be left alone.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
