Planet TerrorA trailer for Robert Rodriguez’ Planet Terror, his half of the upcoming double-bill exploitation thriller Grindhouse (the other half, Death Proof, will be provided by Quentin Tarantino) can now be viewed on Youtube. The clip seems to have been recording at a live playing somewhere - you can hear an audience reacting to it, and they are definitely having a good time!

Grindhouse will be presented as one full-length feature comprised of two individual films helmed separately by each director. Death Proof is a rip-roaring slasher flick where the killer pursues his victims with a car rather than a knife, while Planet Terror film explores an alien world eerily familiar to ours. Welcome to the grind house - it’ll tear you in two.

Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixFans will get the first glimpse of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when the first theatrical trailer hits theaters November 17th. The trailer will be attached to the animated feature Happy Feet.

The trailer is expected to hit the web a week or so later, though past situations would suggest otherwise.

The fifth Harry Potter film opens in theaters July 13, 2007.

2008 U.S. Presidential election

quoteI prefer Obama to McCain. Now, McCain’s better than average for a Republican. And though his ads are intellectually offensive, he’s just bowing to his campaign masters and would calm down and be more sane once in office and not campaigning. But I have a few concerns with McCain on foreign policy. He’s not a full-fledged Neocon. That’s good. He opposed Reagan on Lebanon. Good. He was critical of Bush’s initial strategy in Iraq. That’s good. But there’s a problem. He thinks the Vietnam war was winnable and that the US shouldn’t have withdrawn. He’s also eager to spread democracy with force. This just isn’t a good set of beliefs for inheriting Iraq.quote
