Optimus PrimeIn another move to further involve the fans in the process of making what is ultimately a geek film, the official Transformers movie website is now promoting it’s “Make Prime Speak” contest, which offers fans a chance to write a line of Optimus Prime’s dialogue for the movie. Fans will submit a line of dialogue via a form on the website. Peter Cullen, who will voice Optimus Prime in the movie, will then record the top ten submissions, to be chosen by the filmmakers. The number one submission will be featured in the finished product, while the recordings based off the nine remaining submissions will be featured on the official website.

serenity.jpgJoss Whedon has revealed on his blog, Whedonesque, that recent rumours about a Serenity sequel are sadly not true.

“There’s no sequel, no secret project regarding Serenity or somesuch and I’m not even sure how anyone thought there was talk there.” writes the director,  “I’ve seen Nathan and Tim (and Summer and Alan) recently because they’re my friends because I’m so, yeah, awesome. So let’s put that to bed and smother it with a pillow.”

The Buffy, Angel and Firefly writer will instead concentrate on his Wonder Woman movie project, scheduled for release in 2007.

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
