In response to recent rumors that Russel Crowe may be playing the role of Steve Irwin in a biopic about his life, Crowe is making very clear that he has not been pursuing such a role. Crowe, a close friend of The Crocodile Hunter (who died in a marine accident several weeks ago), spoke on the rumors, saying, “There’s no truth to that whatsoever. That’s one of those appalling pieces of shit that come out of the press. While my friend’s body is still warm, I’m being accused of doing commerce over his grave, and it absolutely disgusts me.” Crowe did say, however, that he would be in favor of a movie about Irwin eventually being made (albeit not necessarily starring Crowe himself.) “Should there be a movie made about Steve? For sure, what an incredible and unique life he led.”

It seems that Emma Watson, the young British actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series has not yet committed to reprising her role in the final two movie adaptations of JK Rowling’s best selling wizadry books. Whether this is a ploy to increase her paycheck or she is indeed serious about pursuing a career outside the acting world is unclear.
