Rose TylerRussell T. Davies, writer and producer of hit British Sci-Fi show Doctor Who has told the official magazine why he decided to scrap the spinoff series Rose Tyler: Earth Defense at the last minute. The decision to pull the show ended up costing him ‘a fortune’ but he was concerned that the spinoff could ultimately hurt the credibility of the main ‘Dr. Who’ series, which has commenced filming in Wales.

“It was actually commissioned by the controller of BBC One and budgeted” Davies said, “it spoils `Doctor Who` if we can see Rose, if we see as a concrete fact that her life continues to be as exciting without the Doctor”. Read the rest of this entry »

HellboyLatino Review managed to get a glimpse Guillermo del Toro’s screenplay for his recently greenlit sequel to the Mike Mignola comic book adaptation Hellboy, Hellboy 2: Rise of the Golden Army. The review mentions how del Toro ups the ante with more action than most films this year before the opening credits already! The film picks up right where the first one stopped and follows a mythical world, which starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so Hellboy and his team must save the world from the rebellious creatures. The Silver SurferRumours in the media have hinted that Doug Jones (Abe Sapien in Hellboy) has landed the Silver Surfer role in the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel, titled Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The actor had been reluctant to address the gossip at Comic Con last month, but it seems he finally confirmed his casting last week.

Aint-it-cool-news was sent a report by someone who met Jones in his local comic book store: “I asked Doug if it was true that he would be playing the Silver Surfer. He told me that the contracts were being signed at this moment and that he was going to begin shooting in Canada here in the next couple of weeks.”

The Impending Oil Crisis

quote I am a little leary of the situation. The truth will come out when, and if the US economy, and the dollar begins to strengthen. If prices remain high, you’ll know someone is lying. Either OPEC doesn’t have the supply they claim they have, or Analysts are incorrect when they say demand has decreased. Personally, I don’t buy the claim that demand has decreased. Population is ever increasing, so, the the demand should always be increasing. quote
