Accoding to Variety, studio bigwigs at Warner Bros are still deliberating as to whether a sequel to the Superman Returns is a worthwhile venture. With less than expected performance at the box office, the recent blockbuster has failed to break even, disappointing both Warners and co-financing partner Legendary Pictures.
Variety says that Bryan Singer has not yet been approached to sign on the dotted line, although recent rumors have suggested that British actor Jude Law has been in talks to reprise the role of archvillain General Zod, a character last seen in Superman 2.
