Ain-it-cool-news interviewed the new director of the Halo film, Neill Blomkamp. In the interview, Blomkamp said he is a fan of the games but more importantly, a fan of the world and hopes to bring it accurately to the big screen.
“I’ve been given the resources and the source material to make something awesome, so I have to really invest myself 100% in a film that I love every frame of, and for me to love every frame means it has to have something that sets it apart,” Blomkamp told AICN.
Blomkamp also said he will not change the look of Master Chief because he is a sacred part of the Halo universe. For the whole interview click here.

According to Variety, Universal is close to sealing a deal with Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins) to direct a film adaptation of the 1967 cult series The Prisoner. The obscure original, which was taken off the air after only 17 episodes, was created by Patrick McGoohan, who starred as a government agent who resigns, is kidnapped and placed on an isolated island known as the Village. Nolan would start directing from a script by Janet and David Peoples (who wrote 12 Monkeys together, while the latter also co-wrote Blade Runner) after he wraps his Batman sequel The Dark Knight. Nolan’s next film, The Prestige, opens this October.
Prince Caspian producer Mark Johnson has said that shooting should commence on the second installment in the Chronicles of Narnia movie franchise in January 2007. Unlike the first film which was shot in New Zealand, Caspian will be filmed in the forests of Europe, according to
